Van Build 1.0

In May 2019, we bought a Mercedes Sprinter panel van. Over the next 6 months we converted her into our tiny home on wheels, complete with a full size bed, kitchen and seating area. We blogged and filmed our entire build series, both as a way to document our journey and to provide useful tips and inspiration for those looking to start their own van build. Van Build Series: Week 13 - We Have Solar Power!

We plan on living and working full time in the van, so installing the solar power is an essential and exciting part of the build. We decided to go for 3x 160W mono-crystalline solar panels from Renogy and fixed them onto our new roof rack. They will be powering 2x 100ah lithium batteries, so our mobile office should have no problem dealing with the demands of two laptops, cameras and phones. Well, that’s the plan anyway!
