Van Build 1.0

In May 2019, we bought a Mercedes Sprinter panel van. Over the next 6 months we converted her into our tiny home on wheels, complete with a full size bed, kitchen and seating area. We blogged and filmed our entire build series, both as a way to document our journey and to provide useful tips and inspiration for those looking to start their own van build. Van Build Series: Week 12 - Building the Furniture

It was at this point in the van build that I was struggling to keep up with blogging, filming and actually building the van! So from here, we only have videos of our build. It’s actually much easier to see what we’re doing, rather than me explaining via a blog post, as it gets more and more complicated from here on out. This week we started the very exciting job of building our furniture! We had planned our layout to include an L-shaped seating area, full size bed and a kitchen along the bulkhead. Ben really showed a natural talent for carpentry during this part of the build, and it was a joy to see our home finally taking shape.
